Clearly, we are at a crossroads in Earth's history. For the first time, we face the possibility of irreversible
global catastrophe as a result of what we humans have done (and not done) since the beginning of the
Industrial Revolution.
At the same time, it is a moment of unprecedented opportunity.
The emerging crisis is stimulating an awakening in consciousness the likes of which humanity has never
seen before. We see this in increased interest in matters of the spirit, increased concern for stewardship of
our planet, expanding awareness of human rights, and a myriad of other progressive activities.
Central to the current situation is our worldwide entertainment industry. The expanding global free market economy is bringing entertainment product to every corner of the world.The network of satellites, cables, fiber optics, and computer technology has made distribution a pervasive and instantaneous phenomenon. Entertainment product developed in the U.S. is extremely popular worldwide, but with expanding democratization, other countries are also contributing meaningful product to the entertainment marketplace.The essential questions are:
What are we communicating to our various audiences?
What might we communicate that could help to further the ongoing awakening of humanity?
More and more, the world's entertainment media are delivering messages about the critical issues facing us: the environment, energy, water, hunger, poverty, wealth disparity, and others.The breadth and depth of these offerings are expanding.
How much more could be presented?
What new messages could be delivered that might serve to inspire individuals to greater awareness and action?
Perhaps most importantly, what might be communicated through entertainment that helps us understand who and what we really are, our connection to each other and to all of life, and the implications of this for us all?
Introducing GATE

There are now, working in the professional entertainment and media industries, thousands of people around the world who are actively engaged, as much as they are able, in contributing to this global awakening through their work. It is truly a conspiracy of love.
The Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment (GATE) is forming to support these individuals in their intention to serve humanity and the earth in this way. The plan is for GATE to serve as a network and clearinghouse for ideas, resources, projects, education, and other activities of interest to working entertainment and media professionals who choose to participate. Together, connected, we can be far more effective than in isolated, solo expressions.

Proposed Vision/Mission statement for the community:
The Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment operates from the premise that only a new and compelling vision of Reality can transform our relationship with the Earth and all that live upon it.
We believe that the global crises we currently face result from a limited and scientifically outdated worldview that still dominates human perception.
We therefore conclude that the rapid and radical changes required of us all at this hinge point in history may in some part be facilitated by a fundamental shift in our system of values and philosophy of life -- made possible by the growing understanding of higher principles basic to both ancient mysticism and modern science.
Our commitment, therefore, is to serve as a bridge and an amplifier for inspired works reflecting a broader perspective and essential insights -- so that they may more readily reach the growing audiences that they were created to inform and empower.
For ultimately, we believe, the key to unlocking our evolutionary potential rests in working together to awaken and encourage every person's unique vision and voice.
GATE will offer periodic special events, such as this Invitation-Only evening. Ultimately, we envision creating an infrastructure that can be used to network, to find and share resources and ideas, to discover and support projects that promote awakening. It will be a transformationally focused learning community providing Resources for the Journey for Conscious Professionals in the Entertainment and Media Industries.
